Looking forward to next weekend’s Indoor Championships

I missed an indoor performance from a couple of weeks ago when Cat Shin jumped 4.81 metres in an indoor meeting in Loughborough – Cat is currently at Loughborough University. (She twice jumped 4.84 metres before Christmas.)

Back here in East Grinstead many of us are still struggling to come to terms with John Rogers’ death last Friday – but we must carry on with our athletics training and competition as normal. I’m sure that’s what John is telling us to do.

Next weekend sees the Sussex and Surrey Indoor Championships at Sutton: we normally do pretty well at these championships and I hope to bring you lots of good news next week. (This means that there will be no long and triple jump training on Saturday.)

A reminder to the Tuesday circuits athletes that we will be back in the old gym at Imberhorne Upper School, and also back to the 7.30 start.

What’s happening this week ?

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 15th – Day 1 of Sussex and Surrey Indoor Championships at Sutton.
