News from Sunday’s Wimbledon Open Meeting

Chloe Hollamby and Jamie Osborne both took part in the Wimbledon Hercules Open Meeting held on Sunday. The meeting normally takes place at Crystal Palace but this year it was held at Wimbledon’s own track in Wimbledon Park – a couple of hundred yards from the Wimbledon tennis courts.

Chloe Hollamby hasn’t been 100% well for a couple of weeks but was able to run in the under 20 100 and 200 metres – and earned third place (and a bronze medal) in both races. 13.20 seconds for the 100 and 26.70 for the 200.

In the under 15 boys races Jamie also did the 100 and 200 and ran well in times of 12.83 and 26.62 seconds. He also took part in the high jump and a new pb of 1.53 metres earned him first place (and the gold medal). So a great way to start the season.
