It’s half-term week – but we are still training

I forgot to mention that last Saturday we had 4 athletes taking part in the first match of the Sussex Cross-Country league at Goodwood. Tim Ivorson ran in the senior mens race and, as he normally does, came nearer the back than the front. Gemma Hayes ran the senior ladies race and Liam Rieley (under 17) and Tom Dean (under 15) also ran with Tom in the first 15 in his race. We must try and field more athletes next time – which is Saturday November 22nd at Plumpton.

Otherwise another quiet week, although we took a number of athletes away from Imberhorne School on Thursday evening and used the roads in the nearby industrial estate – we aim to do this many times over the winter.

A reminder to all athletes that, although it is half-term week, we will still be training at the normal times on Tuesday evening for circuits and then on Thursday evening and Sunday morning.

What’s happening over the next few days ?

Tuesday October 28 – Circuits session at Imberhorne Upper School gym for invited athletes only. Meet at 7.20 for a prompt start at 7.30.

Thursday October 30 – training for all at Imberhorne Upper School from 7.

Sunday November 2 – training at East Court from 10.30 to 11.45 or so. Arrive by 10.25 please.
