It was good to see lots of athletes back at training this week – with an especially good turn-out of 20 athletes at Sunday morning’s session at East Court. However Saturday morning’s long and triple jump session had to be cancelled as Lester Medcalf was suffering with a heavy cold.
This week a number of our younger Sussex athletes will be running in various cross-country races. On Wednesday the Sussex Schools cross-country championships will take place at Waterhall in Brighton while – much closer to home – on the same day the Mid Sussex primary school cross-championships will take place at East Court. Girls race is at 1.00 and the boys at 1.20.
Then on Saturday for our athletes who go to school in Surrey there are the Surrey Schools cross-country championships – not sure where.
In addition to this cross-country activity the entry forms for the Sussex Indoor Championships on February 14th and 15th at Sutton were published. The Surrey entry forms are due to be published some time in this coming week.
