The last indoor result – plus training changes as summer approaches

Last week I forgot to give you what I expect to be the last result from the indoor season. In the British Indoor Masters Championships at Lee Valley Lincoln Campbell  came second in the final of his over 50s 60 metres race in a time of 7.68 seconds, having run slightly faster – 7.64 seconds – when winning his heat. Very well done to Lincoln.

As a sign of the rapidly approaching summer season there are a number of things happening this week. We re-start Tuesday evening training for all athletes at Imberhorne from Tuesday evening at the usual times of 7 pm for the younger athletes and then 7.30 for the older athletes.

Then on Saturday the first local Open Meeting of the season takes place at K2 – let’s hope that the weather is reasonably kind. And next Sunday we move our Sunday morning sessions to Imberhorne School – usual time 10.30 to 11.45.

And a reminder to existing members that you need to renew your membership by April 1st.  Best way is to pay Jane Clark at one of the March training sessions.
