Match on Saturday May 16 at Poole for under 17/20 athletes
Forthcoming exams, plus the long journey, meant that none of our athletes were able to make the trip to Poole to be part of the Team Sussex squad. All the teams seem to have been badly affected with Team Sussex much more affected than the rest – and not a surprise that Team Sussex finished last in the match.
The next match in this league is some way off on June 28 and much nearer, at Kingston. Let’s hope that many more of our athletes will be competing.
County Championships this coming weekend on May 23/24
We have a good number of athletes entered for the Sussex County Championship at K2 over this coming weekend, with Lois Drummie in the Surrey championships at Kingston. We wish all our athletes well with lots of pbs – and the odd medal would be nice.
Saturday May 30 matches
On May 30 we have 2 league matches. Our senior athletes go to Poole while our under 13 and under 15 athletes have a match at Bexley. This will inevitably stretch our ability to judge our share of field events – as well as providing timekeeping and track judging support – and we could do with help at both matches.
