Javelin successes

A quieter weekend

After a busy couple of weekends this last weekend was a little quieter with a match for our under 17 and under 20 athletes at Croydon. Exams and half-term breaks had a drastic effect on all the clubs taking part in the match and we were only able to supply 7 athletes to the composite Team Sussex.

The best performance from our own athletes came from Selina Nash in the under 20 ladies javelin which she won with 28.49 metres. And Emmie van Lieshout perhaps surprised herself with a throw of 20.55 metres in the under 17 javelin.

Training as normal this week

We It may be half-term week but we will be training as normal this week, although we know that a number of you will be away for a break. So Tuesday evening at Sackville and Thursday evening at Imberhorne.

Under 15 match on Friday June 2 evening at Horsham

We have a match primarily for those of you in school years 8 and 9 on Friday evening at Horsham, though one or two of you in year 7 may be invited to take part as well. We hope that Cameron Wells and Christian Given will be able to do some pole-vaulting in the match.
