Sussex Indoor Championships
A number of good performances from the Sussex Indoor Championships over the weekend with 3 first places on Saturday and a couple of medals on Sunday. So very well done to the successful athletes on Saturday – Grace McCullough in the under 13 girls 60 metres (with a new club indoor record of 8.61 seconds), Cameron Wells in the under 15 boys high jump (1.55 metres) and Zack Lamont in the under 17 mens long jump (5.31 metres). With a couple of fourth places for Leo Low-Foon in the under 15 long jump and Mya Lake in the under 13 girls sprint – and just possible that I’ve missed one or two other fourth places.
Then on Sunday Erin Harnett brought home a pair of medals with second place in the under 17 ladies high jump and a bronze in the 60 metres hurdles.
It’s now under 2 months to our first league match of the summer season
Summer’s not far away – and our first league match of the season is now less than 2 months away when the senior team (including those of you in school years year 10 and above) goes to Eltham in south-east London on SATURDAY APRIL 14. We do need someone to do the results for us at that match. If you’re comfortable with computers please give us some of your time that day – we will pay you travel costs.
And our younger athletes in school years 6, 7, 8 and 9 have their first match the very next Saturday April 21.
