Our Annual General Meeting
Our AGM will take place on Friday 22 March at Imberhorne Upper School and members should have received details of the meeting. We do have a number of vacancies and we hope that a number of parents will volunteer to take up some of these roles to ensure the smooth running of the club.
All club members should recently have received details of all of our summer fixtures. Please make a note of them and do your very very best to be available for most (and perhaps all) of the matches for your particular age-group.
Officials Training Course at K2 on Sunday March 31
An introductory course for athletics officials is soon to be held at Crawley’s K2. We do need more people to become qualified officials to help with the events that we have to judge at our various league matches – timekeepers, track judges, and field events judges for the throws and jumps. So please think hard about going on the course. The club will pay back the fees you have to pay for the course.
Throws open meeting at Brighton on Sunday March 10
There is to be a throws open meeting next Sunday at Brighton. All age groups can take part in all or any of the shot, discus and javelin. (Sorry but there’s no hammer throw). Details available on the Brighton & Hove Athletic Club website. Entries close on Friday.
What’s happening in the next week ?
Monday March 4 – circuit training at Imberhorne.
Tuesday March 5 – sprint and long/triple jump training for invited athletes at Imberhorne from 7 to 8.
Thursday March 7 – training for all at Imberhorne from 7 to 8.
Saturday March 9 – long/triple jump training at Imberhorne from 10 to 11.30.
Sunday March 10 – throws open meeting at Brighton.
Sunday March 10 – training at East Court from 10.30 to 11.45.
