Last senior match of the summer coming up

Don’t forget that Tuesday evening training is now back at Imberhorne

A reminder that we have now finished our sessions at Sackville on Tuesday evenings as they are now getting the facilities ready for the autumn term. We will now go back to IMBERHORNE from 7 to 8 on Tuesday evenings for the next 3 weeks – August 13, 20 and 27.

Senior match coming up on Saturday (plus South of England Under 13, 15 and 17 championships over the weekend)

Our senior team (which includes athletes in school years 10 and above) have the fifth and last match of the season this coming Saturday 17 August at Eltham in south-east London. Because of problems with the Eltham track’s hammer cage the 2 hammer events start earlier than normal – ladies at 10am and men at 11am.

We are competing against 3 of the top 5 clubs in the league and it could be a testing afternoon – a good turn-out would be great to see.

Also over the weekend the South of England championships take place at the Julie Rose Stadium in Ashford. I am aware that Gabi Holland will be competing on the Saturday and that both Rebekah Tyler and Cameron Wells will be competing on Sunday in the shot and pole vault respectively. Both Rebekah and Cameron are looking to compete in the senior match on Saturday.
