Primary Schools Cross-Country succeses

Mid Sussex Primary School Cross-Country Championships last Wednesday

Well done to those athletes who took part in these championships during last week – and in particular to Max de Wolf who won the boys race with Oliver Maranzaro not far behind in third place. Both boys will go on to represent Mid Sussex in the all-Sussex finals later in the winter. Max is currently in year 5 at Ashurstwood Primary School and will be able to take part in these races next year as well.

Sussex Indoor Championships – February 15 and 16

These championships take place over the weekend of February 15 and 16 at Sutton. You really should make your entries by the end of January to avoid any last minute rush.

Changes to Sunday morning training sessions – and an addition to Thursday evening training

We are about to make changes to the training sessions that take place on Sunday morning. East Court sessions will no longer take place as Lester Medcalf will instead be holding long and triple jump training at Imberhorne Upper School on Sunday mornings from 10.30 to 11.30. However we are not sure exactly when these changes will take place – the changes will happen over the next 2 weeks.

PLEASE CHECK THE WEBSITE AT THE END OF THIS COMING WEEK TO SEE WHEN THE CHANGES ARE HAPPENING.

(Lester will also now offer horizontal jumping sessions on Thursday evenings from 8 to 8.30 after the normal sessions have finished – PROVIDED THE WEATHER IS OK.)

What’s happening in the coming week ?

Tuesday 28 January – gym training at Imberhorne LOWER school from 7 to 8.

Thursday 30 January – training at Imberhorne UPPER school from 7 to 8.

Sunday 2 February – either training for all at East Court from 10.30 to 11.45 or at Imberhorne UPPER school for horizontal jumpers from 10.30 to 11.30.
