Bank Holiday Open Meeting at K2
Some excellent performances at K2 on Bank Holiday Monday from our athletes. Ollie Strange in particular competed in the 100, 200 and 300 metres races with a first place in the 300 race and pbs in both the 100 and 300. Lewis Jones also had a couple of pbs in the 100 and 200 and Zoe Marston’s 100 metres race also saw her gain a pb.
And not to be left out a couple of our under 20s also produced pbs – Josh Hobbs in his 1500 metres as he continue to work his way back following his arm injury that stopped him competing in most of the summer. And Matti Fish’s discus throw was a few centimetres further than he had thrown before.
All our younger age-groups will be back at K2 this coming weekend September 4 and 5
Ollie Strange will have further opportunities to improve his pbs on Saturday when our under 13s and under 15s have a match at K2 – as will Josh Hobbs in the match for under 17s and under 20s at K2 on Sunday.
And of course a number of our other athletes will also look to produce bps in their events over the weekend. We of course wish all our athletes competing over the coming weekend well as the season enters its last few weeks.
